Plastic – It’s not all the same!

  • Please NO plastic bags in the Rigid Plastic Blue Bin
  • Place all your plastic bags in the Plastic Bag Bin
  • Styrofoam is not recyclable – it goes in your garbage.

We need your help.

Plastic Bags and Styrofoam are causing problems with the Recycling Program. Plastic Bags – even the one holding your Rigid Plastics – must be separated and placed in the Plastic Bag Blue Bin.

Unfortunately, Styrofoam cannot be recycled. It goes with your regular garbage.

Recyclable material placed in the Blue Bins is not sorted. They are simply baled and sold directly to market. When Plastic Bags and Styrofoam are mixed in with Rigid Plastic, they make it difficult to sell the load, increasing all our costs.

Thank you! With your help, we can Find a Better Way.
