Landfill Visits

The Fundy Region Solid Waste Commission invites you to visit the landfill. We believe that everyone should understand how their waste is handled, how we maintain our commitment to the environment, and the importance of waste diversion.

Each year approximately 3,000 people visit the Glenn Carpenter Interpretive Centre, located on-site at the landfill. Videos, touch screen computer games, a scale model as well as other innovative displays can be found inside the Interpretive Centre.

We provide programs to classes from kindergarten to university, and to groups from youth camps to seniors. To book an appointment, please call 738-1212.
